I’m sorry it has been awhile since I have posted here. I have been extremely busy at home and traveling some for work. As I move through the book of Ephesians I am trying to reconstruct what and how I covered this book with my family several months ago and I hope to move at a faster pace but we shall see.
Spiritual Blessing Continued:
The fifth Spiritual Blessing found in this chapter is that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit. This is found in verse thirteen. In the past, letters were sealed with wax and upon receipt of a letter the seal was examined. If it was unbroken, this meant that the letter was sealed by the author and not opened, forged or tampered with by anyone. Likewise with us, we as Christians have heard the truth, trusted and believed the true Word of God and are now sealed by the Holy Spirit. He has placed his seal upon our lives and we are separated and set apart from the world and belong to Him. His seal confirms this. I am so glad for this Spiritual Blessing because our salvation is sealed by His power and authority and there is nothing that we can do to change that promise.
As we look over these 5 Spirit Blessings I trust that you, like I, can see how such blessings are more valuable then anything this world has to offer. Praise God that as Christians, we are adopted, bought back, shown the mystery of His will, given a Heavenly inheritance and then sealed by the Holy Spirit. Can you image what our lives would be like today and in the future if any one of these blessings were unavailable to us? Imagine how if for just one day your home was without the presence of a loving, caring, merciful God.
I thank God that our personal relationship with God was bought with a price I could not pay and is secured by the Holy Spirit and not by my might, authority or ability. If it were, there would be no hope to ever see the gates of heaven let along be able stand in His presence one day.
